About This Site's "Active Content"
You may have gotten a warning about "Active Content" on this web site.
Our web pages use some JavaScripts for "slide-out" menus and to present
slide shows of some of the Troop's activities.
The Home Page slide show is based on a JavaScript obtained from
The JavaScript Source, which was
substantially modified to suit this presentation. All of the pictures are shown
once, then a random picture is displayed and the slide show stops. To see
the show again, click the "Reload" button on your browser.
The photo albums create a Pop-up Window that allow you to manually view the
presentation by using the controls at the top of the window. Click the ">>"
symbol to go to the next slide, the "<<" to go to the previous slide, and
the "|||" symbol to go to the beginning of the slide show. To exit, click the
Close button in the upper right hand corner of the Pop-up Window.
Assuming that this web site has not been hacked and the code
modified, it is safe to run the slide show on your computer. After all,
if you can't trust Boy Scouts, who can you trust?
